The Revenue Cycle Manager (Back-end) plays a vital role in developing, implementing, and enhancing Artera's billing strategy for its services. This position manages key back-end billing activities such as claims submissions, rejections, denials and accounts receivable, aiming to ensure quick and accurate revenue collection. The Manager will identify inefficiencies, and devise plans to address these issues and optimize billing operations. The chosen individual will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence and possess the ability to adjust to changing billing demands.
Essential Responsibilities:- Partner with leadership to develop and facilitate the execution of the billing strategy.
- Effectively manage claim submissions, rejections, denials and accounts receivable, maintaining a full understanding of the billing information and clearinghouse systems.
- Ensure accurate submission of all claims and timely collections occur in accordance with all third-party contract terms including Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial insurance.
- Effectively research and identify non-payment or denial trends and root causes and track progress toward resolution.
- Works with payers to complete claims processing and electronic remittance enrollments.
- Conduct timely reconciliation of payments received against billed services.
- Work cross functionally to maximize billings and collections efficiency.
- Develops and monitors operating procedures and, where necessary, implements changes in workflow to improve productivity.
- Develops recommendations and strategies based on analysis findings to optimize revenue cycle process performance.
- Assists as needed to perform other related duties and special projects as required.
Education and Experience Requirements:- 5+ years in relevant healthcare and RCM leadership experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Knowledge of laboratory billing systems preferred (e.g., LigoLab, TELCOR, XiFin).
- Strong background in a clinical laboratory and/or medical device settings preferred.
- Ability to think strategically about – and prioritize against – the entire revenue cycle.
- Ability to act proactively, and identify and correct revenue leakage opportunities.
$85,000 - $115,000 a year
