Senior Manager, Customer Excellence & Insights

The role

In this role, you will act as the business partner to the Europe 1 Region organization, which includes the DACH Region, Nordics, and the UK-IE. You will play a critical part in the operational implementation of global commercial systems, processes, and support with various analytics and insights, collaborating with local Commercial teams to support day-to-day operations. This role reports to the GM Germany, with a dotted line to the Director EU Commercial Insights and Analytics and Head of Europe 1.

Your key responsibilities will be

Customer Excellence

  • Drive customer Target & segmentation processes in close collaboration with local GMs and Sales Leads and provide daily support to local sales teams
  • Responsible for advanced analytics including attribution modeling to demonstrate cross channel 'ecosystem' impact of digital on the physician audience
  • Drives insights at the customer level to drive optimization of the ecosystem across levels such as segment, channel and content
  • Leverage Veeva CRM to full capabilities and support the field users in execution
  • Support with integration of digital engagement solutions aiming to enhance the customer experience and the customer engagement model
  • Support the development of Ways of Working guidelines and ensure smooth implementation within Europe Region 1 and collaborate with Europe Region 2 and align with US
  • Identify opportunities for improving in field effectiveness and informing solutions to drive field impact

 Commercial Reporting & Analytics

  • Own third party syndicated national data set, leverage anonymized patient data, and internal data (sales, volume, CRM) to prepare patient, outcomes, treatment, sales, managed markets, and promotion insights
  • Use these tailored insights to produce consistent overviews of team, product, and portfolio performance, while understanding their applications and limitations
  • Support local analyses with an in-depth market understanding supporting the local launch readiness
  • Operationalize KPIs and metrics through centralized data platforms in collaboration with the IT Data Analytics team (Power BI)
  • Deliver weekly/monthly/quarterly launch performance reports/dashboards capturing comprehensive monthly trends and insights to leadership teams.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects by working collaboratively across product teams and other functional departments

Business Partnering & Collaboration

  • Business Partnering mindset is essential to be successful and requires that the role has deep insights in the local markets and the affiliates daily operations
  • Be fact based and must have the ability to challenge local performance and insights
  • Being able to implement global commercial processes and systems
  • Must foster a strong collaboration with other key stakeholders such as global IT and the compliance organization

 Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree or MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of sales operations experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (which may include work as a consultant or supplier to the industry)
  • Experience from working in Rare Disease
  • Extensive experience supporting technical design of commercial systems and implementing applications (CRM/Veeva)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Power BI is required

Your ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams is complemented by a demonstrated history of leadership and initiative, which has contributed to achieving key organizational objectives. In ambiguous situations, you excel at setting focused objectives and creating a clear path forward, even when there are open questions.

With an in-depth understanding of markets, particularly in key countries such as Germany and the UK, you bring valuable insights that enhance strategic direction. As a strong team player, you effectively manage conflicting priorities and are skilled in understanding and influencing decisions to support organizational goals. Your communication skills enable you to engage and collaborate with all levels of the organization, making you an impactful and respected contributor. Proactive by nature and self-motivated, you actively participate and bring energy to all your undertakings.

You are also prepared and willing to travel internationally up to 20% of the time to support and drive success across regions.
