This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Exposure to an agency's culture, process, procedures, and potential learning opportunities can provide valuable experience to those who may seek permanent employment with the state.This temporary position is located in Raleigh, NC - Wake County.Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $19.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 225 N. McDowell St., Raleigh, NC 27603.At the office Of North Carolina Vital Records, we rely on Helpdesk Agents professional to interact with our business partners and customers to fulfill requests, questions and concerns. We’re looking for a highly skilled call center agent to join our team, managing a larger volume of inbound and outbound calls, emails, and chat bots. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who can memorize scripts and adapt them when issues arise during a call. This person will handle a variety of important supportive tasks, providing answers, insights, instructions, and assistance to callers. As the first point of contact for the North Carolina of Vital Records, the helpdesk agent must posses’ excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as be enthusiastic about serving our business partners and customers and driving their satisfaction.NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered. NOTE: "See Resume" is not acceptable to show work history.• Considerable knowledge of services, policies and procedures related to a program or area of specialization.• Ability to demonstrate and apply this knowledge in performance of administrative tasks; ability to explain and interpret information to clients/customers and staff.• Considerable knowledge of program policies, procedures and information systems in order to communicate and process information.• Ability to compile, assimilate and organize both printed and electronic information; ability to apply knowledge of data collection, storage, organization, manipulation and/or analysis of data.• Ability to utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet organizational needs.• Ability to identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions.• Ability to clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups.• Ability to present ideas clearly and effectively in written form; ability to adjust language or terminology to meet the needs of the audience; ability to use correct grammar, organization, and structure.Some state job postings say you can qualify by an “equivalent combination of education and experience.” If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both.
