Each position plays a crucial part in maintaining and advancing our environment, ensuring seamless operations and robust support for CECOM personnel worldwide.Position Description: This position supports Linux/Unix Engineering Sustainment under ASRC Federal’s CECOM SETA Support within the PEO EIS MSP. The PEO EIS MSP ensures that the U.S. Army’s Linux/Unix systems are secure, reliable, and capable of supporting mission-critical operations. As a Software Engineer Senior II, you will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of these systems, ensuring their optimal performance.Minimum Qualifications:• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required.• 9 years within the last 12 years of experience providing functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including but not limited to application software, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software.• Experience in participating in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems, and solving engineering problems (or managing the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area to which assigned.• Certifications: DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II and applicable DoD 8570.01-M Computing Environment certification.• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.Required Skills:• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Linux system administrator.• Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 administration.• Hands-on experience with Red Hat Pacemaker clusters.• Experience operating RHEL servers in AWS cloud environments.• Strong scripting skills (Shell, Bash, Python, or similar).• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.• Effective communication and teamwork skills.• Linux or other applicable Technical Certification.Desired Skills:• Knowledge of DoD security requirements and compliance (STIG/ACAS).• Knowledge of ERP SAP environments.• Working knowledge of ServiceNow.• Experience working in an Agile Framework environment.• Experience in performing RHEL upgrades.• Experience with containers and Kubernetes.Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled
