DescriptionPosition SummaryPearson is seeking an innovative Machine Learning and AI Engineer to help leverage the growing field of AI in Higher Education. You'll work on exciting projects that enhance learning experiences for university students and support instructors. Join us in creating solutions that improve educational outcomes through the power of machine learning and large language models (LLMs).Responsibilities:- Develop and implement ML and AI solutions to improve student engagement, comprehension, and personalized learning- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and build innovative educational tools- Evaluate and optimize AI models for performance, cost-effectiveness, and educational impact- Ensure responsible and ethical use of AI in educational contextsRequirements- 3+ years of experience in machine learning, deep learning, or AI development- Strong programming skills in Python- Experience with ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and their applications- Knowledge of data preprocessing and analysis techniques- Understanding of ethical AI principles and responsible AI practicesPreferred Qualifications- Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and transformer-based models- Familiarity with prompt engineering and LLM fine-tuning- Background in educational technology or e-learning solutionsWe welcome applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds, including those with PhDs, quantitative expertise, or equivalent industry experience.
