JOB SUMMARY
The Assembler and Rework Specialist will perform accurate rework, repairs, and modification in order to support production/NPI hardware.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a flex role with the ability to work across multiple cells. Assembler and Rework Specialist serves as a technical expert, providing support as needed in Production:
- Performs more advanced assembly skillsets such as wire splicing and crimping, lead and lead-free soldering, and component removal
- Works with more complex assemblies, possibly including high power product
- Performs rework and functional testing
- May train others
- Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to technical specifications (drawings, schematics, etc.)
- May interact with development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel as needed
- May work from rough schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components
- May perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects, if needed
- May advise Team Assemblers and Sr. team Assemblers in rework and solder applications
- May assist with NPI and Engineering projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstrates proficiency (typically 4-6 years of direct experience in the essential functions of the position)

- Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material — Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
- Problem solving – Identify when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong in routine activities or processes. Coordinate with others to resolve the issue
- Instructing — Teaching others how to do something
- Time Management — Managing one's own time and the time of others
Technical Skills:
- May be required to obtain AES Rework Certification, PRB Certification, AES Flight Critical Certification, IPC 7711, IPC 7721, AES Inspection Pro, IPC 610 and/or AES Solder Certification
Work Environment:
- Indoors, environmentally controlled Manufacturing environment
- Production demand may have times of increased time pressure
- Must use required PPE
- May involve long periods of sitting
- May involve repetitive motions
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed, with totes, etc.
- Assembly errors may result in safety of flight and therefore require the highest level of detail and accuracy in workmanship

- Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible

Salary is $22.50 - $33.75 per hour. Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
