Summary
:

PACCAR WINCH INC is a wholly owned subsidiary of PACCAR, a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Bellevue, Washington. PACCAR WINCH INC manufactures high quality industrial winches, hoists and drives for the oil/gas, construction, utility and specialty markets. PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905. Our business is growing and we are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician. This position is located in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and the schedule is 1st shift, Monday - Friday 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Our facility is located at 1204 West 20th Street Okmulgee, OK 74447. Hourly Rate of Pay: $17.44-$25.55 per hour with occasional overtime available. Benefits include: 401K, medical insurance, dental, vision and company paid life insurance. Company provided disability coverage as well as 12 paid holidays and paid vacation. PACCAR Winch does require applicants to complete a background check, drug test, and pre-employment physical as a condition of employment. Objective:

  • Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.


Essential Functions / Responsibilities
:


  • Must be able to follow all verbal or written work instruction, operations, and procedures.

  • Have a good mechanical background, or aptitude.


  • Support plant safety policies and set a good example for others.

  • Actively demonstrate good housekeeping practices through the 5S methodology.


  • Ability to work effectively as a team member amongst other assemblers to accomplish monthly production goals in a safe, respectful, and timely manner.

  • Must be capable of recognizing irregularities, or malfunctions, with fit, form, function, or noticeable difference, to assembly parts an equipment, which require immediate notification to the Assembly Supervisor for further inspection and review.


  • Capable of taking initiative to constantly participate and seek new and innovative ways to perform jobs, or make recommendations that can initiate the changes in order to make the job better and more efficient.

  • Capable of taking responsibility with the completion of tasks with little to no supervision.

  • Must be capable of accomplishing job assignments on time, with a high standard of quality.


Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or GED recipient


  • Must be able to follow all written and verbal work instruction, operations and procedures.


  • Have the ability to use pneumatic tools and impacts.


  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints.


  • Support plant safety policies and set a good example for others.


  • Be able to recognize obvious irregularities in form, fit or function.


  • Basic computer skills required for the completion of time cards and production information as necessary in a computerized production management system.


  • Must actively demonstrate good housekeeping practices in the work area as well as the entire facility.


  • Must have the ability, knowledge and confidence to consistently meet or exceed the expected productivity standards for all work performed.


  • Must be able to use material handling equipment (Raymond lifts, walkie stackers, low boys, etc.) to pull and position parts and materials necessary to perform your assigned tasks.


  • Must have the ability and desire to work effectively and get along with others in a workgroup environment.

Technical Skills:


Must be able to use the following equipment:


  • Must be capable of operating hand and pneumatic tools to ensure proper torque and assembly installations to meet engineering and production requirements.

  • Must be capable of reading and understanding blueprints, and follow written instruction as required.

  • Superb work organizational skills.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:


PACCAR Winch is a manufacturer of industrial winches. Employee is working around heavy machinery. Employees must be able to operate safely in a busy industrial environment. Additional physical requirements include standing, walking, bending 90% of the time. Ability to squat, kneel on both knees, bend forward at the waist and hold hands above head.
