Assistant Brand Manager - Marvel

With Hasbro's strategic partnership with Disney's Marvel brand, we have the responsibility for the development of action figure and role-play product that bring to life several marquis franchise brands, including Avengers, Spider-Man, and X-Men, along with several new Marvel entertainment properties currently in development. This role will require tapping into Marvel pop culture and fandom across comics, movies, television, and videogames to support the global brand strategy and product development processes for the Fan business.


A day in the life as an Assistant Brand Manager - MARVEL:

Under the general direction of the Director, you will:


  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Design & Development, Brand Writing, Packaging, Engineering, Costing and Finance to bring profitable and popular products to market.
  • Build out analysis of market and category trends, effectively communicate opportunities to cross functional partners.
  • Take ownership of critical data entry and forecasting information, ensuring integrity of this information throughout internal systems.
  • Partner with regional marketing teams to support their business needs and react to retailer trends & challenges.
  • Craft compelling storytelling through high impact presentations to internal team members and licensing partners.
  • Analyze point of sale and pre-order data to make recommendations based on product performance.
  • Partner with commercial marketing team on the development and execution of multi-layered marketing plans.
  • Apply product knowledge and consumer mindset to ecommerce deliverables.
  • Develop a trusted licensor relationship with the Disney Marvel team.


What you will bring:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in consumer goods marketing, or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach, and a genuine curiosity and eagerness to learn and problem-solve across Hasbro.
  • Ability to work both autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • An enterprising spirit and strong interest to develop creative product and marketing strategies based on sound quantitative analysis.
  • Agile mindset to arrive at informed decisions and recommendations quickly.
  • Motivated self-starter with strong project management abilities; capable of prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints and creatively solve problems; strong attention to detail.
  • Concise communication with clear presentation skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong relationship skills.
