Overview:
Hayward Holdings Inc. (NYSE "HAYW") is the largest manufacturer of residential swimming pool equipment in the world, with a significant presence in the commercial pool market that is continuously growing. Hayward designs, manufactures, and markets a full line of residential and commercial pool and spa equipment including pumps, filters, heating, cleaners, salt chlorinators, automation, lighting, safety, flow control and energy solutions at our company owned facilities. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hayward also has facilities in Tennessee, Arizona, and Rhode Island as well as Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and China. This position is based in Charlotte, NC.
Support the organization by managing all aspects of US GAAP and SEC compliance required for external and internal financial reporting. The position has great visibility to senior executive finance and business leadership and is instrumental in bridging the gap between accounting theory and practical application to the Hayward business. A critical function is the codification of all internal accounting policies and procedures and the preparation of technical accounting memorandums which are the cornerstones of our governance and controls.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all consolidated close activities worldwide.

Responsible for all SEC filings including Form 10-K, 10-Q and other required filings.

Quarterly preparation of consolidated financial statements.

Responsible for the development, codification and updating of all Hayward accounting policies and procedures.

Analysis of new accounting pronouncements and their applicability to Hayward.

Prepare written technical accounting memorandums supporting positions taken or to be taken.

Manage Governance and Reporting structure globally, and external advisors to ensure proper compliance with company accounting policy and procedures.

Oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly close processes for the Corporate function, including review of reconciliations and journal entries.

Familiarity with accounting for share-based compensation arrangements in accordance with ASC 718.

Determine the accounting for business combinations in accordance with ASC 805.
- Prepare annual goodwill and indefinite-lived intangible asset impairment analyses.

Have a working knowledge of accounting for income taxes.

Manage day to day external audit of PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Work with outside auditors on technical aspects of financial statement presentation and footnote disclosures.

Experience with consolidation and financial statement preparation software (OneStream and WDesk are musts) is extremely valuable.

Partner with global business functions on special projects.

Oversee preparation of annual 401-k plan financial statements.

A successful candidate must have a deep understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting developed through experience at a public accounting firm.
