The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS), Department of Pharmacy Practice (PHPR) is seeking a motivated professional to fill a 12-month Tenure-Tenure Track Assistant / Associate Professor (open rank) position in Pharmaceutics.

Duties include didactic and laboratory teaching, scholarly activity, and service. This individual will teach in the following degree program in the CPPS: BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the Doctor of Pharmacy.
The academic responsibilities of the faculty member include teaching in the classroom and laboratory portions of the didactic curriculum and advising students.
The successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain an area and focus of research relevant to pharmaceutics or a related area in the pharmaceutical sciences.
Scholarly activity, including grant writing, presentations, and publications, is expected and will be supported. A start-up package is offered.
Service to the department, college, and university will be met through involvement on committees, student organizations, and other opportunities.
Academic rank and appointment will be commensurate with experience.
The expected start date is July 1, 2023 but can be flexible. The position will remain open until filled.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have earned a PhD in Pharmaceutics or a related field in the Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Teaching / academic experience is preferred, but not required. Some research and scholarly activity experience is expected.
Must be eligible for employment in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have experience in cosmetic science or personal care products.
