The Associate Brand Partner will report to the Sr. Director in the Consumer pod within the Revenue Org. This role will be responsible for fostering and managing relationships with key clients & agency stakeholders to build best-in-class campaigns with the world’s leading brands in the assigned categories.
While you will report to the Sr. Director, you will be responsible for and support a few key sellers and categories. You will support the pod’s senior sellers and Brand Partners on all sales activities, which include running calls and closing deals.We’re seeking a self-starter, with experience in digital media to grow business within your respective pod through consultative & solutions-based selling.
This individual should have a passion for sales partnerships, a drive to relentlessly navigate & network to brand decision-makers, and who constantly seek to surpass revenue goals and internal expectations. This is not a typical sales role. Just as we provide the best daily business experience to our readers, we work tirelessly to understand the marketing goals of our advertisers and develop creative and tailored campaigns that WOW our brand partners without jeopardizing the quality of our voice and brand.
Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.
Here’s what you’ll be working on:
Overall
-You will be running sales/client calls and closing business.
-The Associate Brand Partner will advocate for Morning Brew’s offering of ad products that reach our core audience through engaging & accessible content.
-Educating potential brand partners on Morning Brew’s ad offering and weaving together multiplatform activations across audio, branded content, events, newsletters, & video sponsorships.
- Understand and utilize specific data and audience insights that define Morning Brew’s audience
Prospecting, Inbounds & Outreach
-Assist the team in prospecting efforts by vetting and finding decision-makers at qualified companies in relevant categories
-Monitor account inbounds from the Morning Brew newsletters and responds to them in a timely mannerParticipate in other outreach efforts as needed
Hand-offs, Deal Support, and “Remnant” Inventory Management
-Work directly with your pod’s brand partners to assist larger deals and run smaller deals
-Monitor upcoming short-term inventory availability and pitch to a setlist of partners with pre-approved prices and terms
Client Diligence
-Assist the team with meeting prep and research before client calls Manage meeting follow-ups and next steps where applicable
What makes you qualified?
-At least 1-2 years of media and direct media sales experience
-Thorough understanding of the full sales cycle and digital media operations. This includes researching, prospecting, outreach, pitching, negotiating, and closing deals.
-Ability to lead and close an RFP process, creating tailored partner proposals that include: native digital content, audio integrations, long-form content, social media & virtual event sponsorships.
-Forecast, track, and report on sales performance, meeting quarterly targets set by management.
-Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Creativity is also a must.
-Passion for and belief in Morning Brew, its mission, and its franchises and products.
