Department Overview
Gas Operations is focused on ensuring the safe and reliable flow of natural gas to our customers. As a whole, Gas Operations is responsible for all aspects of PG&E's gas distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, restoration and emergency response.

The Quality Management department within PG&E’s gas operations resides within the larger organizational branch of Safety, Quality and Qualifications. Key functions of this department include quality assessment verifications of work being performed in the field, quality audits, causal evaluation support, work procedure error investigations, and support to all areas of the gas operations to build quality management into our everyday processes. Establishing a Quality Management System across our asset management, project management, work management and field execution processes is a top priority for Gas Operations leadership, and this position will be a part of the exciting effort to implement leading quality management practices, and ultimately ensure the safest operation for our employees and the public we serve.

Position Summary
Conducts research, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages, documents and coordinates performance and quality assessment reports and databases, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training. Works with various stakeholders and leadership levels to provide insight and information about quality programs.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum: $63,000.00
California Maximum: $93,000.00

Job Responsibilities
Tracks existing metrics.
Assists other Business Analysts using established processes, practices and procedures as directed.
Communicates with peers inside and outside of the department, providing information or exchanging data.
Learning to apply basic knowledge and develop professional skill set.
Leverages real-time schedule monitoring and reports to oversee multiple sites and notifies supervisors of agent alarms.
Utilizes embedded information to locate and understand employee work-states and areas of concern for customers.
Performs standard analysis and works with existing data models.
Pulls data to populate and create standard reports.
Presents data and findings to senior peers or internal clients.
Creates and maintains frontend and backend tools used for conducting and reporting of quality assessments and audits by front end users.
Participates and leads in meetings for internal and external teams.

Qualifications

Minimum:
Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.

Organizational and prioritization skills
Verbal and written communication skills
Adaptable to changing business conditions and ambiguity
Presentation skills to convey findings to varied audiences
Manage multiple assignments with demanding time constraints
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with Microsoft’s Power Platform (Power Query, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
Familiarity with ProntoForms, InforBirst
Customer support experience
