Cons

No complaints for me what so ever.

Diversity and Inclusion

  • PG&E continues to employ a higher percentage of women and minorities in our workforce than the national average for gas and electric companies, but our benchmarking doesn’t stop there.
  • At PG&E, we are committed to making diversity and inclusion integral to all that we do and representing the broad diversity of the communities we serve.
  • We ensure that our employees always feel safe on the job, that their voices and ideas are heard and that everyone experiences a sense of belonging at PG&E.
  • As a company we closely monitor how we fill our jobs and bring greater awareness to those openings while continuing to develop interventions in the selection process we follow to fill them.

What It Means To Us

From day one at PG&E all employees are grounded in the company’s commitment to and definitions of Diversity and Inclusion at new employee orientation;

Diversity is characterized by all the ways in which we are different. It is present in our job functions, work styles, experiences, and ideas. Diversity cultivates new perspectives and innovation, which enable us to exceed the expectations of our customers, employees, and shareholders.

Inclusion at PG&E is the process of leveraging the power of our employees’ individual uniqueness to achieve our business strategies and goals, be better corporate citizens, and be the best in the industry.

It Starts with Why - Keeping It Real

Nothing demonstrates the impact of diversity as powerfully as a personal story. Taking the time to listen and learn more from one another is one of the most inclusive things any of us do. In 2018 PG&E began a storytelling campaign that continues today. More than 300 employees at all levels have participated. Above is a powerful example and look for more to be added on a regular basis. Diversity includes everyone and everyone can speak up by telling their story!

Employee Networks

Yesterday –PG&E Employee Networks began as early pioneers, dating back almost five decades, creating an environment where every employee could feel welcome at the company. A spirit of belonging is in our DNA.

Today - The Networks serve as national role models by providing programming and a lens of diversity that informs ways PG&E can further drive its culture of belonging and inclusion among our workforce and across our communities

Tomorrow – Our Networks continue to play a vital role in the company’s overall business success, through workforce development and talent pipelines. They assist in welcoming and mentoring new employees, providing professional and career workshops, social networking events, community support and scholarships through a vital spirit of collaboration.
