Job Description
At Gilead, Digital Media Strategy and Operations plays a critical role for digital transformation, a strategic partner to our brands, and focuses on delivering a superior digital experience to our customers in the US.
Within the Customer Experience, Digital and Media Strategy team, the Digital Media and Strategy team is the main group for developing the Gilead US's digital media strategy; executing, measuring, and optimizing it with improved paid digital media quality and performance, in alignment with the brand teams.
Associate Director, Digital Media Data and Analytics at Gilead US will be an integral part of the Digital Media Strategy and Operations Team. She/he will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data from digital media campaigns to measure and optimize the digital media quality and performance. She/he will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define campaign objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics, and develop data collection and reporting frameworks.
Associate Director Digital Media Data and Analytics at Gilead US, reporting to Digital Media Strategy and Operations Lead, will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data from digital media campaigns to measure and optimize the digital media quality and performance. She/he will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define campaign objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics, and develop data collection and reporting frameworks.
Her/his responsibilities will also include managing relationships with media agencies to ensure proper data capture and analysis. With her/his expertise in data analytics, she/he will use data-driven insights to provide recommendations for optimizing digital media campaigns, improving ROI, and enhancing audience targeting and segmentation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze data from digital media campaigns to measure and optimize digital media quality and performance.
  • Define campaign objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop data collection and reporting frameworks.
  • Analyze digital media performance data to identify trends, opportunities for optimization, and insights.
  • Create and deliver regular reports and presentations to key stakeholders, providing insights into campaign performance and opportunities for optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital media and analytics.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Digital Media Strategy and Operations team to ensure that campaigns are optimized across all channels, and consistent with organization objectives.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on digital media analytics, providing guidance and training to other members of the team and cross-functional partners.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency and scalability of the digital media data and analytics function.
  • Manage relationships with media agencies to ensure proper data capture and analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital Media Strategy and Operations Lead and Digital Marketing Operations team on the build-out of capabilities/requirements SOPs, rollout, and training.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and Ten Years’ Experience
OR
Masters' Degree and Eight Years’ Experience
OR
PhD and Two Years’ Experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with digital media channels such as display, social, search, programmatic, and video.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools, such as Excel, Tableau, PowerBI and Google Analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data and insights to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and synthesize large data sets.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical, or biotech industries is a plus.
Operational KPIs
  • Campaign performance metrics (KPIs to track could include click-through rate, conversion rate, engagement rate, and overall return on investment (ROI)).
  • Data collection and reporting metrics (KPIs related to data quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness).
  • Audience metrics (such as audience size, growth, and engagement).
  • Technology adoption metrics (KPIs related to technology adoption and proficiency).
  • Cross-functional collaboration metrics (metrics related to teamwork, communication, and stakeholder satisfaction).
  • Industry benchmarking metrics (KPIs related to industry standards and best practices).
  • Project delivery timeline.
  • Customer satisfaction.

The salary range for this position is: $168,980.00 - $218,680.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
