Job Description


As part of Keypath’s Americas and Europe Paid Media team, the Associate Director will lead a team that plans and manages Paid Search, Paid Social, and Display campaigns across a portfolio of University partners and programs. We are looking for someone who enjoys leading a team, who is passionate about marketing, and can act as a thought leader on how we use Paid Media. The Paid Media Team is part of a fast-paced, high visibility, and high demand marketing team. As such, strong project management, relationship building, and communication skills are a must.

What you’ll be doing as the Associate Director of Paid Media:

  • Lead a team of high performing Paid Media Managers who work as an agile pool of resources across integrated marketing teams responsible for the achievement of digital acquisition targets, including leads, applications, starts and CPA/CPS
  • Manage, coach, and grow team members through the following activities:
    • Be the first point of contact for all queries within your team
    • Actively monitor and engage with team members having trouble achieving performance metrics
    • Identify knowledge gaps and provide specific trainings to address
    • Identify process gaps and create documentation to standardize the way our teams operate
    • Review all strategy docs and testing frameworks
    • Cultivate future leaders by building upon team members executive function skillsets
  • Review, recommend and share their subject matter expertise within the team on a regular cadence to either enhance campaign performance down funnel or create more efficient processes
    • Present applicable findings to larger marketing function should it be warranted
  • Oversee accurate and timely performance reporting and optimization for paid digital channels
  • Advise marketing leadership on paid media trends and performance to support/impact future decision-making
  • Allocate and manage team resources to ensure efficient business outcomes
  • Collaborating, influencing and at times leading, large scale strategic projects with other leaders in the marketing function to increase digital understanding, operational efficiency and enhance the student experience
  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in digital channel performance and platform
  • Contribute to the growth and evolution of the paid media teams processes
  • Monitor changes in the digital landscape and interpret/communicate internally how those changes can be harnessed or mitigated within the marketing function
  • Support the development of the digital innovation roadmap, testing and continuous improvement

Qualifications


Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field, is required

Experience:

  • 7+ years of relevant and progressive work experience
  • Highly developed leadership skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders through strong communication and subject matter expertise
  • 1+ years of direct or indirect people management experience
  • Great conflict resolution and able to have those ‘hard conversations’ when required
  • Independently identify impact on broader business objectives and have proven ability to implement interventions that will lead to improved business performance
  • Meticulously organized and a great communicator
  • Significant subject matter knowledge in online advertising platforms (e.g, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
  • 2+ year’s experience with Google Analytics, Data Studio or other data visualization platforms
  • Inherently analytical and able to tell a story with data

Preferred Skills:

  • Recent experience in performance marketing in higher education or at an Online Program Management company
