OTIS Elevator has an exciting leadership opportunity for an Associate Director of Supply Chain responsible for leading our distribution center’s supply chain organization to manage suppliers for the service and modernization operations. Candidate will be a key member of the supply chain leadership team and will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of supply chain professionals.
This individual will be responsible for leading and driving the overall NAA supply chain requirements for the Service, Modernization and Unitec businesses. Scope of responsibility includes oversight of direct materials management through demand planning and procurement functions, contract management, international trade compliance and NAA indirect category management.
Key Management Objectives:
  • Oversee the management, development and implementation of direct and indirect category strategies that achieve year / year savings cost savings initiatives across business entities for direct and indirect categories
  • Drive and optimize materials planning, procurement, and ITC teams to achieve results through effective systems, processes, and performance management
  • Support and drive WHQ and regional actions through the supply chain team, suppliers and functional areas as appropriate
  • Collaborate with global and NAA supply chain on category strategy
  • Facilitate cross functional team meetings to ensure operational requirements are met
  • Contribute to strategic business initiatives
  • Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and / or executive report outs
  • Escalation point for supplier / business unit resolution
  • Ensure effective management of team’s cost savings projects, price negotiations, price escalations, supplier performance and support mitigation plans for price, quality, and delivery
Engage and develop the supply chain organization:
  • Develop highly skilled supply chain professionals through talent acquisition, effective career counseling, training, performance evaluation, and affirmative action standards
  • Optimize and leverage skills and resources effectively to support BU needs with agility
  • Employ the Otis culture statements to enhance team development and performance

Education / Certifications
  • Minimum BA/BS degree
    • Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business strongly preferred
    • MBA preferred
Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain / procurement with increasing levels of responsibility & managerial experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at various levels in the organization
  • Strategic planning/thinking skills coupled with strong financial, analytical and execution skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive teamwork between groups and across functional teams
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to influence without direct authority in a matrixed organization – leading cross functional team to achieve results
  • Must be capable to communicate with all levels of management using executive level summaries and presentations
  • Demonstrated change management and negotiating capabilities
  • Knowledge of ERP configurations, demand planning and procurement processes and systems
  • Full knowledge of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and application in negotiations and cost evaluation, including import and freight considerations. Clean Sheet modeling knowledge
  • Ability to adhere to Otis’ Absolutes of Safety, Ethics and Quality required.
  • Must be able to participate in annual inventory
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree
Knowledge of elevator industry and/or field operations is highly desirable
