Associate Electrician (0851)

Well capitalized residential home building technology company seeks talented, safety first minded, Associate Electrician to support our electricians and learn to pioneer electrical assembly within modular home building. The Associate Electrician will not design electrical systems, but will be on time and reliable in identifying potential problems in design. Top notch communication, team work, and problem solving skills are essential. Expect to learn from talented, motivated, and interesting co-workers. Must be willing to be on site and potentially work overtime on some weeks or weekends, based on customer demand.

A sample of a day in the life of the Associate Electrician: Supporting our licensed electrician, knows how to pull wire in single family homes. Sets junction boxes, outlets. Calculates circuits. Measures and cuts. Pulls wire (conductors). Terminates conductors (wire). Splices and terminates wires at junction points.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Carefully follow instructions from supervisor for electrical assembly production

• Assembles, evaluates, tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring

• Constructs and fabricates parts, uses hand tools and specifications

• Installs and maintains wiring, control, and lighting systems

• Inspects electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers

• Identifies electrical problems using a variety of testing devices. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand-tools and power tools

• Conducts operations in compliance with OSHA and general safety standards

Requirements, Knowledge and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

• 2 years’ proven work experience as Electrical Associate

• Strong hands-on capability

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations (OSHA 10 or OSHA 30)

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

• Residential experience is a plus

Compensation:

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the hourly pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $ 30- $35 hourly for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas. This role is also eligible for stock options, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
