EGT Printing Solutions is licensed to print with Union Label #132 by the Allied Printing Trades Council of Michigan. We are members in good standing of the Detroit Typographical Union #18 / Communications Workers of America #14503.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure paper or raw materials (inks, glues, etc.) are loaded into feeders, hoppers, bins, etc. to supply a constant flow of materials while the equipment is running.
• Make adjustments to equipment such as feeder mechanism based on the size of the paper.
• Deliver equipment components such as plates or spray heads to the equipment for installation.
• Recycle old/discarded plates.
• Provide basic assistance as needed to make-ready the equipment for operation.
• Assist with retrieving plates, hanging plates and recycling/storing plates and other tasks associated with make-ready of the plates.

• Requires basic knowledge of presswork procedures and materials learned through on the job training.
• Ability to follow instructions to assist in press set up, operation and maintenance.
• Able to operate hand carts, pallet jacks, stackers, and hydraulic feed mechanisms.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions.

Previous printing experience preferred.

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $15.78 - $16.68 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
