We are seeking a Junior Audience Growth Associate to join our team and support our audience growth efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for producing newsletters, analyzing metrics related to newsletter performance and acquisition, and assisting with various other tasks to enhance our audience reach and engagement.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Newsletter Production: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including editors and writers, to curate and produce engaging newsletters that resonate with our target audience. 
• Social: work with other members of the audience development team to track and measure social engagement on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and other platforms. Make suggestions about content that resonates with our audience. Help to draft social posts as needed. 
• Metrics Analysis: Track, measure, and analyze key performance metrics related to newsletter performance and acquisition. Provide regular reports and insights on metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, subscriber growth, and engagement to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
• Audience Acquisition: Collaborate with the audience growth team to develop and execute strategies for acquiring new newsletter subscribers. This may involve conducting research, implementing marketing initiatives, optimizing landing pages, and utilizing social media and other channels to expand our subscriber base.
• Testing and Optimization: Assist in conducting A/B tests and experiments to optimize newsletter content, design, and delivery strategies. Continuously refine tactics based on data-driven insights to maximize audience engagement and retention.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various teams, including editorial, marketing, and design, to align newsletter strategies with overall audience growth objectives. Act as a liaison between different departments to ensure seamless coordination and efficient execution.
• Miscellaneous Tasks: Assist with various day-to-day tasks as needed, which may include conducting research, updating databases, coordinating promotional campaigns, supporting event planning, and other administrative duties to contribute to the overall success of the audience growth team.

WHO YOU ARE

• Experience: 1+ years of experience in digital media, audience development, email marketing, or related roles is desirable. Experience with Sailthru or newsletter production and analytics is a plus.
• Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing data, metrics, and trends to extract actionable insights. Familiarity with email marketing analytics tools, such as Mailchimp or similar platforms, is advantageous.
• Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content for newsletters and effectively present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
• Organizational Abilities: Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Strong organizational and time management skills are crucial in this role.
• Collaborative Nature: A team player who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate ideas clearly. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse group of individuals.
• Passion for Digital Media: Familiarity with Vox Media brands and a passion for digital media, journalism, and audience growth strategies are highly valued.

PAY TRANSPARENCY

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.

$70,000—$75,000 USD
