The Associate Manager, Procurement Business Partnering acts as procurement single point of contact for the regional and local business, supporting Procurement performance and delivery, identifies demand requirements, supports innovation and executes project implementation. Provides procurement technical expertise and advice to key stakeholders, including procurement planning and development. Implements procurement plans and strategies to meet business needs, enhance stakeholder engagement, and interacts with suppliers to optimize service outcomes and foster innovation. Implements procurement projects, including sourcing, contracts, cost reductions and sustainability projects.


Location: Shelton, CT (hybrid - 2 days per week in the office and 3 days working from home)

What You’ll Do:
  • Execute strategic planning & targets: Interact with business leaders to understand their needs and manage the demand, work closely with them to implement objectives and deliver them together.
  • Integrate Procurement sustainability strategy and plans, from a support role
  • Gather internal requirements, specifications and provides this to Supply management teams.
  • Category Strategy Planning: Get visibility on business demand & specifications, execute projects deployment, understand Category Strategies & map buying channels (with Supply Management), involved in annual forecast review and innovations implementations.
  • Sourcing Strategy: Participate in sourcing opportunities assessments and development of demand & supply profiles.
  • Supplier & Risk Management: Involved in supplier segmentation model, implement strategy & monitor outcomes, collaborate in ongoing supplier performance reporting, execute supplier development projects, perform supplier offboarding, and use the supply base, together with Supply Management.
  • Source to Contract: Participate in supplier discovery & selection criteria, in sourcing event selection and in supplier selection & negotiation, in coordination with Supply Management.
  • Project implementation: Realize demand opportunities and ideate innovation initiatives, implement sourcing outcomes, Sustainable Procurement projects and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Support data and financial reports to advice the business
  • Provide relevant information to other BIC stakeholders when needed to comply with their responsibilities.
  • Perform all business partnering activities for Packaging Development

What We’re Looking For In You:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is a plus
  • 1-3 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Project Management role is required (will consider candidates with internship experience as well)
  • Good planning/project management skills – able to develop comprehensive solutions
  • Superior communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to summarize with efficiency and present results with efficacy
  • Experience with direct/indirect procurement categories is a plus
