Associate Project Manager - Immersive

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Project Manager, Immersive is responsible for coordinating and collaborating with internal and external resources to deliver the project requirements for Universal Destinations and Experiences Digital Destinations. Works closely with the Producer, Immersive and Director, Immersive Experience Architect to establish project schedules and standards and make sure all parties are updated as conditions change.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively participates in daily, weekly, and monthly project meetings with vendors and internal and documents the results in daily/weekly/monthly meeting minutes.
  • Manages overall punch list activities. Reviews submittals from the contractor for all close-out documentation including, but not limited to shop drawings, submittals, as-built drawings, warranties, lien waivers, etc. Assists in the preparation of an overall project post mortem.
  • Assists with preparation of Request for Proposals. Prepares documentation required for site access, lay down and other logistics for the contractors and vendors. Contributes in responses to contractor and vendor questions for the RFP. Prepares the final evaluation and recommendations for the bids and proposals.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Gaming, Entertainment/Arts Production, Marketing or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 2+ years relevant project management experience. Experience with turnkey projects, specifically within the theme park/entertainment industry is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Occasional business trips, national and/or international. Collaborate with team on creative and technical concepts and assist with documenting the outcomes.
