Background & Purpose of the Job
The Associate Quality Specialist is part of the Vermont Manufacturing Quality Team and reports to the Sanitation Quality Engineer. The main purpose of the role is to drive the highest quality standards and performance through development, implementation, and continuous improvement of sanitation, GMP, pest control and environmental programs, policies, and key performance indicators.

What You’ll Do
-
Assist in ensuring compliance to our factory standards, specifications and GMPs.

Assists Quality Engineer regarding representative for Innovation projects, with a focus on sanitation and hygienic design, to drive compliance, growth, and consumer love.

Assists with sanitation, GMP and process-oriented improvement projects.

Assists with the development and implementation of practices for cleaning and sanitation including but not limited to master sanitation plan, SSOPs, SWIs, and operator training.

Under the direction of the Sanitation Quality Engineer performs root cause investigations for environmental and finished production out of spec or out of trend microorganism results

Assists with developing effective corrective and preventative actions as a result of root cause investigations.

Participate in developing and deploying new approaches, process, and tools to “raise the ceiling” and develop future capability.

Responsible for performing validation/verification swabbing activities in response to equipment enhancements, facilities improvements, and annual requirements.

Assist in ensuring quality program skill and training programs implemented for site with master trainer responsibilities for the laboratories regarding testing methodologies for allergen and microorganism swabs.

Assists in continuous improvements initiatives and investigation related to quality defects

Quality representative for Innovation projects to drive compliance, growth, and consumer love.
What You’ll Need To Succeed

Preferred university degree in technical discipline or general sciences. Preferred: Food Science, Biology, Engineering, Microbiology, or Chemistry. OR relevant/equivalent experience (4+ years in a laboratory or quality setting)

Applied knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22716, Allergen Management, Food Safety, FSSC 22000, FDA 21 CFR 210, etc

An affinity for change management and digital solutions

Demonstrated leader of functional working teams

Proven effective in collaboration and communication

Ability to work independently and self motivate

Basic proficiency in MS tools (Excel, Power BI, PPT) and UL Business Systems (SAP, PLM)

Pay: The pay range for this position is $53,400 - $80,200. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
