OVERVIEW
Our Omnichannel Shopper Marketing team is looking for a new Associate Manager to lead the strategy, planning, and execution for two of our largest and most critically important retailers – Walmart and Amazon. Each of these “mass” retailers play a significant role in driving the growth for Blue Buffalo and will allow you to gain valuable experience working in a highly visible and meaningful role.
In this position you will work on large and advanced campaigns that leverage the sophisticated capabilities and tactics available via these top priority retailers. You will be the lead and accountable for planning and executing omnichannel shopper marketing programs that leverage full 360 surround inclusive of digital media, video, in-store, experiential, PR/influencer, and more. You will be the main point of contact for our external agencies and retail teams and represent our team internally across all levels of the organization.
We are looking for a candidate who is energized and passionate about leveraging Pet Parent insights and turning them into effective marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate for this position has strengths in communication strategy, media, agency management and collaboration.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for all marketing aspects supporting the BLUE Sales Team to help achieve channel objectives:
- Set the strategic vision and strategy to achieve business objectives for both Walmart and Amazon.
- Translate brand level insights and priorities into retailer specific strategies and objectives.
- Build omnichannel marketing plans spanning tactics across the purchase funnel.
- Collaborate internally across sales, brand, creative, and activation to bring brand plans and story to life at retail.
- Manage external agencies to brief and deliver projects accurately and on-time.
- Manage project timelines and deliverables in partnership with broader team.
- Build and present external presentations to buyers and retailer media networks to sell-in support plans.
- Monitor performance and leverage insights to optimize campaigns in real-time to improve effectiveness.
- Share best practices within the shopper team to improve overall process and streamline opportunities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in business administration/marketing or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a marketing role (could be brand, agency or shopper)
- 2 years Shopper marketing background
- Must have experience and be comfortable presenting in front of customers
- Digital/E-Commerce marketing experience
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of Sales and Marketing principles
- Proficient in Excel and Power point
- Outstanding organization and project management skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Shopper/Channel Marketing experience
- Marketing experience with Walmart and/or Amazon
- Understanding of marketing measurement levers and approaches
- Understanding of ecommerce and how brands win in that space

The salary range for this position $89,200 ‐ $‐ 148,800.
