Position Title: Associate, Software Engineer, Applications
Location: 400 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94105
Summary of Duties: Analyze the client and investment management lifecycle, including client contracting and onboarding, portfolio management, trading, compliance, trade settlement, business operational workflows and overall reporting platforms design the best solutions. Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, application design, system development, testing, implementation and production support. Create technical design documents to describe the planned solution and the upstream and downstream dependencies. Leverage and learn core technologies designed in-house to scale solutions
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Analyst or related role. Must also have two (2) years of experience with: programming using Java, Python, Javascript, Proto-buf, Hibernate, SQL, Sybase, and methodologies including test driven development and object-oriented design and programming; utilizing scaled Agile practices; performing multi-threading and concurrency development; performing application programming interface design and orchestration; and constructing behavior-driven development testing framework.

For California only the salary range for this position is $152,500 – $152,500. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.

Our hybrid work model
