Associate, Supply Chain Inventory

Description:

Macmillan is seeking a Supply Chain Inventory Associate to manage all aspects of daily, weekly, monthly Inventory Management operations for MCPG Imprints including setting initial print and reprint quantities. Oversee “end of life” remainder process for all Imprints.


Major Responsibilities:

  • New Title Management (Collaborate with Sales reps, Publisher, Marketing and Production to determine first print quantities)
  • Reprints and title status (Daily monitoring of inventory levels to identify needed reprints by analyzing data from multiple reports)
  • Follow up and Miscellaneous (Respond to inventory needs for Special Promotions. Heavy E-mail and phone communication)
  • Data entry (Enter meeting results into Cognos databases (quantities, price changes, follow-up information)
  • Gather data and prepare analysis for Idle Inventory, “End of Life” Remainders, donations, general cleanup and monthly management inventory reporting.
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed for the group.

Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication and problem solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills, MS Office proficiency. (Intermediate Excel level)
  • Flexibility and composure to deal with frequent changes.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.

Experience Needed:

  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience with inventory management and data analysis

Educational Background Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

This position will have an annual salary of $53,787 - $57,000
