Job Description

The Associate Visual Editor assists with curating and producing innovative visual content across platforms (including social, video, digital, print, experiential) that meets brand integrity and production quality standards, while remaining on schedule and on budget.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with the team to understand visual/photo needs for assigned projects.
Assist with reviewing portfolios and tracking contacts for agencies and photographers.
Contribute to pitching cross-platform ideas that ladder up to established brand identity and visual strategy.
Own research, image selection, and credits
Assist with all aspects of cross-platform photo shoot production including:
Curating photographer lists and creating visual mood boards
Commissioning teams and liaising with agents, photographers, studios, stylists, hair/makeup, catering, and other vendors throughout the project
Creating and updating timelines, schedules, budgets, shot-lists, call-sheets, and other production documents
Attending and managing on-set production, as needed
Coordinating the post-production process for lo-res and hi-res photo selection and final delivery (editing, processing, retouching, color correcting, and archiving all files in an organized manner)
Assist with tracking and updating the photo budget across platforms.
Assist with securing contracts, photo fees, and usage rights for all images (produced and researched), in partnership with CN legal and business affairs teams.
Track and process all invoices in a timely manner, ensuring that jobs are wrapped accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
2-3 years work experience in photo/visual production or related field, ideally with knowledge of various image libraries, stock agencies, photographers, stylists, etc.
Budding editorial judgement and the ability to contribute to visual stories across platforms.
A highly motivated self-starter who can manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
A strong eye for detail and excellent organizational skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills
A passion for photography and illustration related to style/fashion, culture, politics, and identity content; exhibits a shared interest in fashion editorials
Is tuned into industry trends spanning across all mediums from fashion, home, lifestyle, photo, design & more
