Reports To: AVP – Marketing (CeraVe US)

What You Will Learn:


The Assistant Marketing Manager will support the Assistant Vice President of Marketing on the CeraVe core cleanser franchise and the CeraVe Amazon & club businesses. The Assistant Marketing Manager will also lead the SA franchise and act as the primary brand liaison for the CeraVe Sam’s Club and BJ’s businesses. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to performing business & competitive analyses, marketing budget/financial control, and preparing presentations for top management meetings. This position is an opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated individual to be both creative and analytical to help accelerate growth in a fast-paced environment.

The Assistant Manager will report to the Assistant Vice President of Marketing.


Job Responsibilities:

  • CeraVe core cleanser franchise support
  • Support the Assistant Vice President in all management and day-to-day operations of CeraVe’s cleanser business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Developing & implementing overall franchise strategy and marketing plans.
  • New product launches.
  • Sell-out forecasting.
  • Competitive deep dives and other ad-hoc market analysis.
  • Liaising with the CeraVe DMI, DSC sales team, operations, finance, and all other cross-functional partners.
  • Market research.
  • SA Franchise Lead: develop & execute national marketing plan for the CeraVe SA (Salicylic Acid) franchise of cleansers & HBL products.  
  • Develop messaging/direct-to-consumer communication leveraging consumer insights and research.
  • Work with sales team and retailers to gain distribution and assortment
  • Work with the sales team and retailers to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategy in the retail environment.
  • Proactively conduct market research and uncover insights to inform franchise strategy.
  • Manage day-to-day operations with excellence and interact effectively with cross-functional departments .
  • Monitor production plans to ensure full support of business, track any risks that could impact business.
  • Maintain budget by tracking expenses, alert manager of trends and risks.

  • Club
  • Support the Assistant Vice President of Marketing with the CeraVe Costco business
  • Brand liaison: lead marketing efforts for Sam’s Club & BJ’s and act as the liaison between brand and club channel national account manager
  • Ensure customer strategy and programs align with national brand objectives and product focuses
  • Work closely with club channel national account director to drive strategic programs and initiatives to grow business and meet budget
  • Lead creative execution of customer marketing initiatives including print, digital, and POS materials
  • Represent brand at meetings with Sam’s Club & BJ’s.

  • Support the Assistant Vice President of Marketing as the brand liaison for the Amazon CeraVe business.


What We Are Looking For:


Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2-3 years of experience
  • Marketing related experience is highly desired, but not required


Competencies/Skills:

  • Systems Proficiency (i.e. Nielsen, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong data analysis skills– i.e. competitive, US market, sales (experience with syndicated data sources like Nielsen a plus)
  • Market Research: ability to read and interpret research data
  • Communicates and interacts effectively (written and oral) – listens with intent, actively networks
  • Strong appreciation for our business / sensitivity to métier; understands beauty

  • Salary Range: 81,300 – 113,800 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
