Job Description

Your future team:

As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the success of our highly collaborative and technically skilled engineering team. Your expertise and leadership will not only support project goals but also support our culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

 

Your missions:

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that engineering standards are met and guiding team members through complex challenges. By mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to strategic planning, you will help elevate the team's capabilities and directly impact the successful execution of our projects. As Lead Mechanical Engineer you will:

🎯 Lead and guide a dynamic team, shaping the success of projects related to the design of mechanical services within a nuclear-licensed site.

🎯 Drive innovation in piped services design, exploring and implementing new technologies and methodologies to enhance efficiency, safety, and overall project success.

🎯 Act as a key point of contact for clients, fostering and maintaining strong relationships and represent the organisation in a client-facing capacity, contributing to its reputation for excellence in service delivery.

🎯 Ensure adherence to stringent regulatory requirements within the nuclear industry, demonstrating a keen understanding of safety standards and compliance.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills to be successful:

We are seeking somebody with strong leadership skills who will act with integrity and instil this value in others. You must focus on delivering quality on time and within budget and have an appreciation of wide technical issues beyond your own discipline. The Lead Mechanical Engineer should:

🌟 Be educated to degree level as a minimum

🌟 Be experienced in working within multi-disciplinary design teams

🌟 Have in-depth knowledge of British and American pipework design codes

🌟 Have knowledge of BIM and LOD100 to LOD400

🌟 Be experienced in pipework design and design substantiation in a highly regulated industry

It would also be beneficial if you have experience in the following:

🌟 Civil or Process Engineering

🌟 On-site assessments and surveys

🌟 Fluid dynamics, including HVAC for water and air systems

🌟 AutoCAD, Inventor, or MathCAD

🌟 Construction management
