Description:The Assistant Purchasing Agent is responsible for assisting the Director of Purchasing and Estimating Team with the preparation and maintenance of all base house costs, option costs, material take-offs, and database maintenance. The Assistant Purchasing Agent works in concert with the estimating staff in the execution of its job responsibilities. The Assistant Purchasing agent is expected to build relationships by exhibiting company’s core values in all interactions with fellow employees and trade partners. A. Coordinate material quantity take-offs and phase bids in accordance with the phase specifications, house series, and product specifications. B. Assist with Start Package releases, issuing budgets, and working with highly detailed customer selections. C. Working directly with site plans creating take-offs for Area Figures and Assemblies. D. Maintain cost database, updating descriptions, creating new items, entering pricing, and price revisions. E. Build relationships with key Trade Partners and assist with managing the Builder Portal F. Coordinate the preparation of site adjustment budgets for each new Mid-Atlantic community. G. May at times assist with subcontractor bidding, negotiation and administration. H.
