Production Planner / Scheduler

Description:The Production Planner/Scheduler works with various areas and levels of the company to manage the flow of production and materials for production related activities for all products within our brand located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.Essential Duties/Responsibilities:- Work with all departments (sales, engineering, finance, Procurement, etc) to provide scheduling information for their needs and obtain necessary inputs to produce an accurate schedule.- Opens and launches work orders as required and monitors all open work orders to ensure they have been closed in a timely manner.- Works with engineering on the custom order process to ensure all work orders are created and operations has the necessary orders and drawings to complete manufacturing of customs in a timely manner.- Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc- Confirms material supply and demands.- Schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed- Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.- Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, maintenance, or other operational reports, to detectAbout Aston Carter:Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
