Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing general ledger activities, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, supporting company audits, and preparing ad hoc analysis. This role involves managing all payments received on agency bill and reconciling to company invoices, working with internal teams to ensure timely receipt of payments from clients, fielding questions and... resolving disputes related to Sales Executives, Account Managers, and carriers. Additionally, the Senior Accountant will manage relationships with insurance carriers to facilitate seamless payable processes, prepare and approve journal entries, review account reconciliations monthly, identify and drive process improvements, and handle ad-hoc projects and miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned. This role reports directly to the CFO within the Finance department, offering a structured opportunity to grow in accounting knowledge and responsibilities, and work cross-functionally within the business. Hard Skills • 5+ years of Accounting experience • Knowledge of Month End, AP/AR, GL • Understanding of commission structures • Proficiency in Excel including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables Job Type This is a permanent position.
