We are a great company.Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:• Experienced with performing site investigations for a variety of contaminant sources including landfill, RCRA, industrial, brownfields, retail petroleum, and dry-cleaning sites;• Experienced with field activities such as soil and groundwater sampling, installation of soil borings and monitoring wells, installation and sampling of soil gas monitoring points, and indoor air sampling;• Management and analysis of sampling data, including summary tables, result interpretation, and sample location maps;• Performance of Phase I/II environmental assessments of a broad range of industrial and commercial facilities;• Excellent written and oral communication skills, experienced with stakeholder communication;• Preparation of technical reports.RequirementsMinimum Requirements:• BS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field• 4+ years of related environmental consulting experience and local experience with regulatory agencies in North Carolina;• Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments, prioritizing and delegating activities, and delivering on tight deadlines;• Capable of working independently, under direct supervision of others, and in a team-orientated environment;• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record;• Commitment to safetyTechnical Requirements:• Professional Registration (P.G. or P.E.), in good standing, preferably in North Carolina• Microsoft PC applications; WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint• Preferred 40-Hour Hazwoper• Strong technical, analytical, and research skillsOther miscellaneous qualities:• Ability to travel 20% of the time• Ability to perform moderately strenuous tasksWho We Are:We strive to be the most sought-after infrastructure and environmental solutions company, known for our unique, values-driven approach and brought to life by the industry’s most exceptional people.Atlas provides professional testing, inspection, engineering, environmental and consulting services from more than 100 locations nationwide.
