Audience Insight Analyst

As a member of the Sky audience insight team, you’ll help deliver actionable insight, answering business questions and tracking the performance of our portfolio of entertainment channels and programmes (from Sky Max and Sky Atlantic through to Sky Documentaries and Sky Crime among others).
What you’ll do:
  • Produce regular viewing and performance reports for the Sky Exec and Entertainment channel teams.
  • Fulfil information requests from scheduling, marketing, PR and strategy teams, applying your analytical skills to a range of topics to aid decision making and corporate comms.
  • Prepare notes and presentations on programme reviews and ad-hoc projects, particularly relating to Sky Original content, from launch performance to full series reviews and much more besides..
  • Develop and understanding of the value of Sky content among customers, through the use of regular trackers and ad hoc research.
  • Collaborate with other insight teams across the business to produce informed and holistic insights on customer/viewing performance and trends.
  • Proactively assess the needs and interests of key stakeholders so as to embark on ad-hoc projects that provide insights.to better understand the drivers of particular viewer behaviour and trends.
What you’ll bring:
  • Highly numerate and statistically literate with a high level of attention to detail.
  • A confident communicator with strong analytical and numerical skills, you’ll be able to work well as part of a team, juggle priorities and hitting deadlines.
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of data/information and condense findings down to concise conclusions and recommendations.
  • One to two years of experience in insight and analysis is desirable, preferably in a media environment.
  • Preferred experience of using audience measurement systems (ie. TechEdge AdvantEdge) or otherwise able to demonstrate proficiency in using other systems for extracting data generally.
  • A demonstrable passion for TV programmes and an understanding of the TV marketplace.
  • An enquiring mind that thrives on new challenges and problem solving.
