Who We Are Looking For
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Renewals Manager to join our dynamic Sales team. This key individual contributor will play a vital role in maintaining market-leading retention rates and driving revenue growth. Our team comprises individuals dedicated to customer loyalty and committed to bringing the right people together to secure and grow our revenue.
Role Overview
As a Commercial Renewals Manager, you will focus on the closed-loop process of subscription renewals and the expansion of our current customer base. You will assist with quoting, revising, reporting, and closing renewal opportunities. Your expertise in forecasting retention rates and expansion, driving business processes, and managing heavy transaction workloads will be crucial in securing revenue and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
• High business IQ/acumen - experience communicating cross-functionally(Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Product, and Professional Services Teams) regularly and customer-facing experience building long-term relationships
• Strong negotiation skills and understanding of contracts and the legal process
• Confident in their own Renewals process, priorities, time management, personal accountability, and humble confidence
• Navigating complex contract structures and multi-year agreements
• Ability to build a strong business case through detailed discovery, looping in the right internal partners, figure out the WHY behind things
• Maintain and report an accurate rolling 180-day forecast of renewals
• Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities upon contract renewal to maximize customer growth
• Communicate risks clearly and develop resolution strategies, escalating when appropriate
Note: Although this role is fully Remote, it will be virtually supporting clientele that are mainly located in either the East or Central time zones and we prefer candidates to be in either of those time zones
Attributes for a Successful Candidate
• 3+ years of quota-carrying experience in Renewals, Sales, Customer Success, or Account Management within a SaaS environment
• Proven presentation, discovery, negotiation, and closing skills.
• Experience in managing a pipeline and closing contracts promptly.
• Deep understanding of SaaS business models.
• Ability to connect the dots organizationally and influence stakeholders across various roles, levels, and profiles to drive collaboration.
• Approaches work with empathy and a creative, problem-solving mindset.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and energetic team player.
• Takes an active interest in increasing customer satisfaction and deepening customer relationships.
• Experience with Salesforce, BoostUp, MixMax, Outreach, and Gong is a plus.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field is a plus
