Job Summary
The newly released end established Guiding Principles of The Graduate School and the institutional aspirations to increase enrollment to 16,000 by 2030, requires a reorganization and change in the running of The Graduate School (TGS). TGS has historically served as a support unit for the Individual programs across AU. The GS Student Recruitment Coordinator will play a huge role in promoting this growth. This position will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, and actively pursuing opportunities that will increase recognition of Augusta University's Graduate School, attract competitive candidates, and enhance enrollment. This position will represent AU-TGS at on- and off-campus recruitment fairs and events, coordinate on-campus visits and tours for prospective students, and assist in the development and maintenance of attractive and appropriate communication plans. The Recruitment Coordinator will form strong working relationships with AU program departments on campus, as well as with external colleges and universities. This position will require significant travel to off-campus meetings, recruitment conferences, and other colleges/universities.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
STUDENT RECRUITMENT EVENTS - ON AND OFF CAMPUS: Organize and coordinate prospective student visits to campus. Attend both on-campus and off-campus recruitment events/fairs and represent Augusta University in a professional and enthusiastic manner. Coordinate and assist in planning and implementing on-campus AU-wide recruitment fairs and events. Coordinate recruitment events with all TGS programs. Pursue opportunities with fellow colleges and universities to organize talks and information sessions for prospective graduate students.
PROSPECTIVE STUDENT RECRUITMENT: Actively recruit students to accomplish the missions of The Graduate School and Augusta University. Work with faculty and administration to schedule meetings, interviews, etc., with prospective graduate students. Recruit current graduate student volunteers and faculty to meet with prospective students. Initiate, maintain, and track correspondences with prospective students for recruitment purposes. Work closely with AU The Graduate School's Admissions Team to market to and effectively recruit new applicants and prospective applicants to graduate programs.
RESEARCH AND RELATIONSHIP BUILDING: Actively and consistently follow and research trends among student recruitment and retention. Initiate new opportunities for the recruitment and securement of competitive students to AU. Work closely with other AU colleges/schools to offer alternate program options to applicants and prospective applicants in the event the first-choice program is not an option. Build and maintain strong working relationships with external colleges/universities as well as internally with AU's 9 colleges/schools. Initiate and cultivate relationships with undergraduate schools to develop pipelines for recruitment. Support strategic enrollment management to identify programs primed for growth and help develop strategies to support growth. Watch and track enrollment trends to pursue appropriate actions toward student recruitment. Partner with AU Online in recruitment and marketing of prospective students
MARKETING AND BRANDING: Develop public relations and partnerships across the enterprise, including the Division of Communications and Marketing (DCM) and all of the colleges. Work with DCM to establish and maintain strategic marketing and branding campaigns to increase recognition of The Graduate School. Coordinate with the Graduate School's Communication Specialist and Web Coordinator to ensure the TGS website is updated, accurate, and competitive. Assist with the production of new website content. Assist Communications Specialist with the creation, content, and design of graduate program collaterals.
OTHER DUTIES: Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 3 years of applicable experience.
Must have a valid driver's license and willingness/ability to travel.
Preferred Qualifications
A marketing, business, or science degree from an accredited college or university and experience with Banner, Crystal, and Xtender are preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/ databases.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of Banner, Slate, and similar databases allow independent troubleshooting of current systems and easy-to-learn systems.
Strong working knowledge of AU policies and procedures.
SKILLS
High level of computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and customer service skills.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as participate as a strong, reliable member of a team.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to multi-task and flourish in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Ability to follow directions and complete tasks accurately and efficiently in a timely manner.
Ability to and endurance to set up and clean up for events (moving tables, stacking chairs, setting up poster boards, lifting, and carrying objects up to 50 pounds).
Ability to travel off-campus and out of town for recruitment events.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday-Friday (work outside of normal business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B9
Salary: $48,800/ annually - 56,218/ annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position

Conditions of Employment
All selected candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.

Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive an Augusta University vehicle.

Driver's License Statement
The Human Resources Division will request a driver's history report for the identified top candidate(s) for this position.
