Cyber & Platforms Engineering Manager

 

Auria is looking to hire a Cyber & Platforms Engineering Manager to join our team and support the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. Work location can be in either Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.

This Cyber and Platforms (CAP) Engineering Manager will be accountable to the CAP Engineering Project Manager (EPM) for technical, cost, and schedule performance within the EI4CD Engineering Management Portfolio. They will be listed as the Control Account Owner for all Control Accounts under their portfolio. They will primarily work with the EPM to ensure efficient engineering processes are followed and adhered to deliver capability on schedule to the customer.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for managing dependencies between teams within their Engineering Management Portfolio and will support the EPM in managing external dependencies elsewhere within the C2BMC enterprise
  • Adhere to Agile principles and ensure teams follow an Agile cadence to deliver the best product to the C2BMC customer
  • Adhering to the LM PMM accounting and reporting requirements, identifying and tracking all Risks and Opportunities, and identifying and tracking iteration events and releases
  • Responsible for leading the respective product teams to ensure the following:
    • Ensure that each team is only working on the prescribed scope as laid into the IMS
    • Ensure teams are updating Jira daily
    • Ensure teams are decomposing stories and are capturing performance correctly
    • Ensure teams are conducting daily standups
    • Ensure teams are conducting unit testing and regression testing
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy of personnel charging and monitoring weekly hours reported
  • Manage and report on team technical issues and resolutions
  • Support EPM in proposal development, including authoring and reviewing BOEs and Engineering Estimates
  • Ensure team technical commitments are clearly understood and met or exceeded
  • Produce ETC/EVM and other engineering metrics to identify and address all technical or staffing issues while managing cost/schedule
  • Work with EPM to provide timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements and identify staffing needs
  • Maintain backlog of assigned features to meet technical commitments
  • Ensure teams follow organizational processes
  • Nominally attends all milestone events (in person when possible)
  • Supports the EPM in managing and forecasting technical maturity, including when milestone maturity can be claimed and what OE is required to support such a claim

Basic Qualifications:

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.

  • An active SECRET clearance is required to start.
  • 13 years' experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline;
    • or 11 years' experience with a Master’s Degre
    • or 17 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong Infrastructure/Cyber/Network Engineering Background
  • Experience managing and delivering complex DoD systems
  • Solid understanding of Earned Value (SPI/CPI/TCPI)
  • Cost and Schedule
  • Explanation of Variances
  • ETC and EAC
  • Development of Return to Green Plans
  • Experience with Agile Development Processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Agility, Confluence)
  • Experience with the DevSecOps process and integration into Software Development
  • Experience with C2BMC and/or the Missile Defense System
  • Experience executing Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Project management Experience
  • Experience leading teams
  • Experience generating metrics/KPIs

Salary Range:The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($153,000 - $170,000).
