Full Stack Engineer, Perception: Performance & Coverage

We’re searching for a Full Stack Engineer to join Aurora’s Perception Performance and Coverage team. The team is responsible for metrics for evaluating the... performance of the Perception subsystem, infrastructure for the evaluation pipelines, tools to introspect results and building a diverse dataset on which to measure performance. In this role, you will • Build backend and frontend components for a set of key services used on the Perception team, with interactive reports, plots, and insights into our autonomy systems • Build out and integrate internal large-scale data generation systems that track and highlight changes in our self-driving system behavior • Utilize and contribute to core web visualization libraries to enable annotation and visualization of interesting actors and scenarios used to evaluate our systems • Work across a diverse team of backend engineers, product designers, autonomy developers, and other internal customers Required Qualifications • Excellent programming and design skills for backend (Python or C++) and frontend (React.js and JavaScript/Typescript) • Proficient with databases or storage systems • Web service experience • Customer focused mindset Desirable Qualifications • Experience with 3D tempo-spatial renderers and tools The base salary range for this position is $168K-$252K per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits. #LI-JL261 #Mid-Senior
