ABOUT THIS POSITION


The Aviation Department manages and operates the Phoenix Airport System which consists of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Deer Valley Airport, and Goodyear Airport. The Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport has consistently been ranked as one of the top ten busiest airports in the nation. Serving more than 125,000 passengers daily, with over 1,200 flights per day, the airport has a total economic impact of more than $38 billion per year.

The Aviation Department is seeking a motivated Supplies Clerk II to perform manual and clerical work in the requisition, receipt, inspection, storage, issuance, and purchase of supplies. Responsibilities include handling minor maintenance and/or repair of a variety of supplies, parts, and equipment including pick-up and delivery. This position may lift arms above shoulder level to stock and readjust shelves, and bend or stoop continually over time to unpack, unload, or shelve items. Some positions may exercise supervisory duties in the absence of the assigned supervisor. Candidates must be able to adjust to and maintain compliance with changes in business procedures.

SALARY


Pay Range and Hiring Range: $19.54 - $28.86 per hour.

Pay Range Explanation:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three years of experience in a warehouse or store operation where a wide variety of materials, fittings, tools, supplies, and equipment are dispensed.
  • Other combinations of education and experience which meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
  • Moving objects weights between 25 to 50 pounds may be required.
  • Working irregular hours, second and / or third shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings will be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:

Experience with:

  • Purchasing and / or operating automated inventory systems, and handling equipment.
  • Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, etc).
  • Using SAP.
