Girls Shred - Bike Camp Instructors

For nearly 20 years, Avid4 Adventure has inspired kids to embrace active outdoor lifestyles through unique programming. Our Mountain Biking Specialists foster a lifelong love of adventure, including our Girls Shred Program , which provides advanced biking instruction in an inclusive, supportive environment for female and non-binary campers.

As a senior, skilled instructor, Bike Specialists play a crucial role in risk management, technical skills, and communication, while gaining valuable mentorship in outdoor sports, youth development, leadership, and Leave No Trace principles. Instructors who are passionate about bringing the love of the sport to our Girls Shred Campers are highly encouraged to apply!

We are hiring Mountain Biking Specialists for Girls Shred Program at the following locations:

  • Valmont Bike Park

  • Golden

  • Wash Park, Denver

  • Highlands Ranch

In this role you will:

  • Co-lead groups of up to 13 campers in age and developmentally appropriate instruction with outdoor activities including advanced mountain biking, Leave No Trace principles, and teambuilding

  • Primarily lead our single-sport mountain biking camps; may be asked to co-lead our multi-sport programs from time to time instructing in all of our core sport programs (training will be provided!)

  • Serve as a role model and guide campers by exhibiting appropriate behavior, attitudes, and activities

  • Follow and educate campers on safety protocols to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants

  • Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all participants in our programs

  • If you are a trained Driver, transport up to 13 campers to and from program areas with company passenger vans

Your Background:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age by the start of camp.

  • Must be at least 20 years of age to be eligible for a Driver position

  • Demonstrated advanced personal and/or professional mountain biking experience a must have!!

  • +1 years of experience working with kids in a professional or volunteer setting preferred

  • Minimum of Basic First Aid & CPR certification by the start of camp (and we can point you in the right direction to get this done)

Important Details

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 35-40  hours/week

  • Position Duration: Training begins insert date, program depending. Camps run insert date, Through insert date, program depending.

  • Compensation: Pay is determined based on position, additional responsibilities, relevant certifications, and staff tenure. Starting hourly are below: 

    • Valmont Bike Park Specialists: $20.20 per hour

    • Mountain Bike Specialist: 19.25 per hour

    • Relevant Certification Bonuses: $100 - $400 per certification (up to $1,000)
