AWS Cloud Security Architect

Who You’ll Work With

Slalom AWS Security Architects are domain experts who possess technical skills and extensive industry knowledge and business acumen. Our Security Architects are experienced in developing secure technical solutions that promote our customers’ business strategy goals on digital transformation, optimization, and cloud adoption.

We are looking for someone with:

• Minimum of three (3) years IT Security Architecture and/or Security Operations Management
• secure infrastructure architecture
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• security product integrations, Logging and Monitoring
• DevSecOps
• Security Automation (Terraform, ETC)
• Monitoring (AWS SEcurityHub/Guardduty/Cloudwatch/Cloudtrail/Miracle)
• Working knowledge of managing security infrastructure and tools — e.g., firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPSs), web application firewalls (WAFs), endpoint protection, SIEM, and log management technology
• Experience designing the deployment of applications and infrastructure into public cloud services.
• Full-stack knowledge of IT infrastructure:
• Working knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), NIST 800-53, NIST 800-82, and CIS.
• Bachelor’s or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field
• One or more of the following (or comparable) certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCSP

What You’ll Do

Cloud Infrastructure

• Delivered projects to assess the security of cloud environments, document the findings, and create remediation plans. Outcomes achieved included: identification of key technologies to identify & prevent application layer attacks, identifying critical gaps within the architecture, and creation of guardrails to prevent creation of vulnerable systems.

Security Architecture

• Designed and deployed multiple environments to extend clients presence to the cloud, Operationalized Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions into existing and newly developed programs around Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, and a SaaS Transition Plan decommissioning legacy systems and defining roles and responsibilities.

Security Assessments

• Reviewed IT Infrastructure to identify client’s current security landscape e.g., IAM, Network Architecture, Security Perimeter, Vulnerability Management, Risk/ Security Program assessments, SIEM. Provided security guidance using NIST CSF & CIS Benchmarks in the building of infrastructure on prem and in the cloud.

Disaster Recovery

• Architected Disaster Recovery infrastructure to ensure High Availability & Fault tolerance with Landing Zones, to ensure compliance of onboarded servers.

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $X to $Y and the targeted base salary range is $X to $Y [or can include just $X when including both the base and targeted]. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
