Mission of the Role:

In the future, drones will be utilized across various industries and become an essential part of our daily lives. Our goal is to change people's perception of drones and expand the horizons of drone applications. We are looking for a Field Operation Hardware Robotic Engineer to join our team as a key player in driving deployment and operation excellence. For this role, you will be helping with drone design, hardware repairs and enhancements, Hardware lab management, supporting the Field Robotics Engineers, collaborating closely with hardware/software teams to understand project requirements. In addition, you will be responsible for successful timely hardware fixing during development and provide support during and after deployment for the intelligent aerial robots and autonomously sustainable ecosystems. 

Key Responsibilities:

Experienced with design, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware product in hardware labs for deployment on the customer sites

Travel to customer sites and provide support to the robotic field engineers

Hand on experience building and fixing physical hardware specially drone/aircraft

Test the robotic hardware systems based on product specifications and be able fix physical hardware

Troubleshoot hardware robotic system integration and deployment

Provide feedback from customer deployment experience to hardware developers to enhance our products/solutions

Solid communication with Hardware/software/QA/Field Operation Team

Minimum qualification:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in robotics, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering mechanical engineering, hardware engineering, computer science or other engineering disciplines

5+ years of work experience in hobotics, hardware and/or drone system design

Experience with electrical system for aerial robots or similar aircraft product

Experienced with product hardware deployment and troubleshooting on the customer sites

Provide support for Operation field engineer during deployment by fixing and coordinating hardware issues

Experience in mechanical design for drones, UAVs or aerial products

Experience with robotic system integrations and analyzing the system logs

Travel to customer warehouse to ensure continuous support for ongoing operation

Solid communication with cross team specially field operation/software TeamBeing detail-oriented and managing multiple tasks

Self-motivated person who thrives in a fast-paced environment

Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills

Experience with robotic system specially aerial robots

Experience using Ubuntu/Windows System

Experience in CAE tools (Ansys, Nastran, Simuliaworks, Creo/simulation, Solidworks/flow simulation, etc.

Experience in simulation for thermal, vibration and structural analysis

Legally authorized to work in the United States

Optional qualifications:

Experience in safety pilot for aerial robots

Experience at a fast-growing startup

Proficient knowledge of aerodynamics

Experience with programming/scripting languages (C++, python, C, ROS, bash)
