We at Batteries+Bulbs are in search of a bookkeeper who has the skills and/or experience to handle our data entry from vouchering of invoices all the way to integration into QuickBooks and maintenance of QuickBooks.

Below are the essential responsibilities and skills needed for the job.

Bookkeeper Essential Responsibilities:

 Receives, approves, and, when necessary, investigates client's accounts payable invoices.
 Codes payables for accounts payable clerks to input.
 Communicates (both in electronic and written form) with clients, client suppliers, and vendors.
 Keeps track of client assets.
 Handles client mail.
 Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
 Maintains historical records by filing documents.
 Prepares appropriate mailings and reports as requested by owner or partners.
 Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
 Receives, vouchers, and posts invoices in client's software.
 Assists accountants on tax return preparation.
 Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by owner or partners.

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

 Data faction
 Preferred responsible accounting or bookkeeping experience including accounts payable, accounts
receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reports.
 Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
 Ability to operate calculator, computer, and other general office equipment.
 Knowledge of computerized accounting especially QuickBooks, but must be able to do a manual set of
books.
 Knowledge of regulatory requirements of processing accounting transactions.
 Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, in English.
 Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential.
 Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
 Prior experience in Business Management preferred.
