We provide chemicals and support to enhance plant processes, improve productivity, manage water treatment, and resolve environmental issues.Play a key role in on-time delivery to customersAs a Lead Materials Planner you will be responsible for planning and scheduling of the materials required to execute the business. Work with operations and supply chain to translate the demand (forecasts, sales orders, planned orders) to physical orders and ensure they are delivered to meet the customer requirements.As a Lead Materials Planner, you will be responsible for:• Working with the region sales and operations to create the regional forecast (12-18 mo) and global forecasts• Collaborating with the operations team to convert demand plans into physical orders• Providing technical guidance and support to the local materials team and consulting with leadership for material decisions• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements while minimizing inventory and shipping cost• Developing inventory strategies, including safety stock and turns• Performing various material management analysis such as consumption and forecasts, aged inventory, aged purchase orders, safety stockFuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:• Have a Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience in an equivalent role in the oil & gas industry, preferably but not necessarily in Chemicals.• Have experience in supply planning. Materials and inventory management experience would be a plus.• Have intermediate knowledge of SAP and MRP functionality.• Be able to work with and influence stakeholders.• Think strategically with tactical execution and a sense of urgency.• APICS certification is desirable but not a strict requirement.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
