About our Summer Intern Program:
The Banner Health Summer Internship Program provides valuable insight and professional level work experience in the healthcare industry. Internships will be offered at non-clinical corporate or facility -based locations throughout the Banner system. Our program is in-person with potential for remote work depending on department.

This opportunity is working with our Signage Production department located in Phoenix, AZ, and is ideal for a Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering majors (or similar) with an interest in learning manufacturing, assembly, and tool operation. Projects may include entry level sign manufacturing, executing basic tasks in the manufacturing of signs, and providing support for the department as needed.
This is a paid 10-week program, working full-time June 9th through August 15th. The program is open to students from a variety of academic backgrounds and majors who:
Have demonstrated academic achievement
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
Are enthusiastic and eager to learn about healthcare
Are involved in extracurricular & community-related activities
Requirements to Apply Online:
Junior or Senior enrolled in an Undergraduate Program OR Enrolled in a Graduate Program OR recent graduate within the last 6 months. This position is based in Phoenix, AZ and the intern will need to be available to work onsite (in-person) during the duration of the program.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position typically will be up to one year in length and will work under the direct supervision of a department manager or designee. The position is responsible for expanding experiences and knowledge of practices and procedures as they relate to assigned department and area of study. These activities may include participation in a wide variety of projects.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Expands and develops knowledge with exposure to a variety of roles related to area of study.
2. Participates on work teams, contributes to projects and initiatives, and performs various tasks as needed by the assigned unit/department.
3. Performs research and prepares reports on assigned topics and /or projects when required.
4. Works as a member of a team providing service to internal and external customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in an accredited college program with course work related to the internship or general knowledge normally obtained through the completion of a college degree.
Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. Must have general knowledge related to the department/unit/area of study.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency with commonly used office software and personal computers may be necessary, depending on assignment.
Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
