When it comes to caring for people, we’re all in.Description:The primary responsibility is to coordinate billing services. Responsible for physician billing services. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Accountable for physician billing services in handling payments. Physician practice and home health's primary responsibility is coordinating billing services and providing diagnostic and procedural codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing. Responsible for entering patient encounters into the practice management billing application. Communicates with various teams within the organization. Understanding of ICD-10, CPT, and associate modifiers to successfully process encounters. Staying up to date with CMS guidelines. Responsible to maintain and clearing worklist within a timely manner.The estimated pay range for this position is $17.53 - $21.21 / hour depending on experience.Qualifications:High School Diploma, Certificate of Completion, GED, Training, or Experience required.Additional Qualifications: 2 Years of health care experience is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Systems Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access is a must. Must be a detail-oriented team player with excellent written and communication skills. Background in coding experience in other released areas such as collections, refunds, and claims reviews and understanding of Charge Review responsibilities preferred. Experience in Medical Record review for documentation and bill auditing is required. Proficient in English and Spanish. Able to foster/maintain a solid professional relationship with physicians, hospital leaders, staff, and patients. Must be able to communicate effectively with other departments to resolve pending/missing information on encounters and expedite the timely transmission to payers. Excellent Time- Management Skills. Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet stringent deadlines.EOE
