Lead - Site Electrician

We have an exciting opportunity for you!Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Site Electrician at our Homestake site in Lead, South Dakota. The successful candidate will join Homestake's Maintenance Team at the closed Homestake and Richmond Hill Mines in Lead, South Dakota. The Site Electrician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the site electrical systems. In addition, the successful candidate will also receive training to be multiskilled and responsible for general maintenance/operations, inspections, troubleshooting and monitoring tasks as required to support the overall system processes at both closure sitesAt Barrick, our vision is to be the world's most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people. We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.Responsibilities:• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment, including motors, panels, pumps, control equipment, and power distribution systems (including lighting and buildings)• Develop scopes of work for electrical projects requiring outside resources. Work with contracts personnel to obtain and evaluate bids, and create and issue contracts and purchase orders for projects• Manage electrical contractors to ensure safe execution of the work scope as well as managing schedule and costs• Develop and implement preventative maintenance (PM) programs for the electrical infrastructure• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in accordance with local and national codes and good industry practices• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly• Calibrate and repair instruments and equipment• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, P&ID's, and technical diagrams• Collaborate with other team members to ensure continuity towards project completion within specified budget and timelines• Perform regular Preventative Maintenance (PM) inspections to identify potential system problems and implement corrective tasks to prevent system failures• Keep accurate records of work performed• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations at all times and ensure required controls are in place to mitigate fatal risks• Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:• Valid South Dakota Journeyman Electrician License or a Journeyman Electrician License from a location with a formal reciprocity agreement with South Dakota required• Minimum of 6 years of experience in the electrical trade required• Proficient knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety procedures required• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required• Strong written and verbal communication skills required• Ability to work independently and as part of a team required• Ability to work in various environments and conditions required• Solid understanding of pumps, pumping systems, and water treatment plant operations preferredWhat We Can Offer You• A comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!• Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.• Opportunities to grow and learn with the industry colleagues are endless.• Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization.• Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.Job Identification 230508Posting Date 2024-11-26Apply Before 2024-12-10Job Schedule Full timeLocations Lead, SD, United States
