Break down incoming correspondence, determine which area of the department is responsible for the request, prioritize each, and disseminate to applicable team(s)2. Upload report(s) received from Finance daily into a secure website to match electronic remittance advise to the bank deposits to allow for batches to be accurately and effectively built3. Update and log all cash received and posted daily onto a spreadsheet to allow for accurate reconciliation and reporting4. Create electronic and/or manual posting batches daily and disseminate to team members5. Create denials reports and review/analyze the data to identify trends and create worklists6. Prioritize and assign correspondence, worklists, posting batches, and/or service tickets daily to meet departmental needs and objectives7. Manage and maintain a consistent workflow that enables team members to remain productive8. Complete and maintain enrollments for electronic claims submission, electronic remittance advice (ERA), and electronic funds transfers (EFT)9. Contact payer if/when necessary to identify how to complete enrollments processes and/or resolve enrollment issues10. Complete billing system updates to close batches and update the AR daily11. Update the Cash Reconciliation Spreadsheet to reflect posted monies daily12. Update and scan Cash Journals to ensure that all documents are stored and accessible electronically13. Work miscellaneous projects and tasks on an as needed basis14. Photocopying, faxing, and filing as requested or directedANCILLARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Maintains an above average quality and quantity of work coupled with above average attendance3. Occasionally make or receive inbound/outbound calls to resolve payment discrepancies and/or enrollment requests4. Performs other duties and tasks as assignedREPORTING RELATIONSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES• No supervisory responsibilities• Provides work direction plus has responsibility for hiring, promotions, transfers, performance• management, discipline, and discharge.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OR QUALIFICATIONS (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); medical billing and coding training and/or 1‐2 years accounts receivable or posting experienceb. Skills:1. Language: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical supply publications, technical procedures, and/or training tools. Ability to write internal and external business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, team members, and/or customers.2. Math: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply intermediate math skills.3. Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Advanced analytical reasoning to include ability to forecast exponentials within work flow processes and reason against outside factors.4. Computer: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, Access or other database software.5. Telecommunications: ability to utilize or knowledge of call center telecommunications softwarec.
