Software Engineer, Backend - Data Platform (Big Data Infra)
Benchling is on a mission to unlock the power of biotechnology by providing innovative solutions to the industry. They are looking for a Software Engineer to join their Data Platform team and work on building scalable and extensible data solutions.
Skills
- Experience with data analytics and warehouse solutions
- Strong knowledge of data processing technologies like Kafka, Kinesis, Spark
- Experience in schema design, SQL & Schema registry
- Proficiency in scripting language (such as Python)
- Experience with deployment and configuration management frameworks
Responsibilities
- Build & operate high throughput distributed messaging platform like Kafka/kinesis
- Build next generation warehouse and compute platform with scalable data ingress/egress
- Define and design data transformations and pipelines for cross-functional datasets
- Design and create CI/CD pipelines for platform provisioning
