BenchPrep is looking for a hardworking, ambitious Controller to support its growing operations in Chicago. The Controller is a key member of the finance leadership team responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

Skills

8+ years of relevant experience in accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Experience with SaaS business model and technical accounting matters
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Collecting and reporting financial data in compliance with GAAP
Overseeing timely and efficient monthly and annual financial close
Managing payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and collections
Ensuring revenue recognition complies with accounting standards
Establishing and enforcing policies, procedures, and internal controls
Managing banking relationships, tax compliance, and legal requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
