The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, IT, Data and analytics, finance, and operations to drive and execute on pricing decisions aligned with overall business goals and objectives. A team of pricing analysts will also report into this role.Do YOU Possess These Skills and Attributes?• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling• Analytical thinker with the ability to identify and develop solutions to complex problems from a strategic and operational perspective• Ability to translate market insights into actionable pricing strategies• Experience working with pricing software, CRM systems, and ERP systems• Applied knowledge of advanced statistical analysis methods, including predictive modeling techniques using advanced analytic tools (Python, SAS, R, SPSS) to manipulate data and perform analysis• Strong knowledge of SQL and data warehouse concepts• Comfortable working with large amounts of data, detail-oriented, and possess excellent business acumen• High level of attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple projects concurrently• Proven track record leading and growing teams• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including the C-suiteDo These Responsibilities Interest YOU?• Develop comprehensive pricing strategies that align with business goals, market conditions, and customer segments• Leverage pricing analytics tools, software, and technologies to automate pricing processes, analyze data, and generate actionable insights• Define pricing policies, guidelines, and frameworks to ensure consistency and effectiveness across distribution channels• Lead the assessment of pricing risks and opportunities within our extensive portfolio consisting of over 100k SKUs• Analyze market trends, monitor competitive pricing and promotions, and market movements to anticipate changes and formulate proactive responses• Monitor pricing performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to achieve financial targets• Determine optimal price points for products and services to maximize revenue and profitability, including all aspects of product guardrails (minimum selling price) by price offerings• Conduct pricing analyses, including elasticity modeling, hypothesis testing, price sensitivity analysis, and scenario planning• Partner with finance to assess pricing impact on margins, profitability, and overall financial picture• Develop, analyze, and execute customer pricing strategies for the customer segment internally referred to as “strategic markets”• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance pricing capabilities and efficiencies within the organization• Hire, train, coach, and mentor a team of Pricing professionalsDo YOU Meet These Requirements?• 10 + years of experience in pricing strategy development or finance, preferably within the distribution industry• 5+ years of people management experience• Bachelor's Degree in Analytics or similar field required; Master's Degree preferredWho We Are: It’s our Mission to Drive Dentistry ForwardBenco Dental, the largest privately owned, full-service dental distributor in the United States, has remained in the family since 1930—a family that now includes our more than 40,000 customers and over 1,500 associates in the 48 contiguous states.We provide more supply and equipment options than any other full-service distributor, an offering enhanced by a comprehensive suite of services, including office design, equipment repair, practice coaching, financing and project management, wealth management and dental-specific technology solutions.
